Exploring the world broadened my horizons, but it was the love for my community that anchored my heart back home.
Growing up in the Cleveland area, I had as close to a perfect childhood as anyone could hope for. My father was a principal at my high school, which meant that my family was deeply rooted in the community. Additionally, my mother was a real estate agent for 30 years, and I spent a significant amount of time with her at her office, which became a second home for me. It felt like nearly everywhere we went, we saw a familiar face, and I loved that.
After graduating college, I embarked on a journey that took me to Europe for two and a half years, and it was an experience unlike any I had had before. I was ready for an adventure that would give me a new perspective on life—embracing the unknown. Traveling alone, working various jobs and interacting with people from diverse backgrounds broadened my horizons.
I became more appreciative of life in America, more accepting of everyone’s unique differences and more aware of the importance of family and community. After spending a year seeing numerous countries, I accepted a job in Germany and stayed an additional year and a half.
This experience brought me to a crossroads in my adventure. It made me confront the fragility of life and the importance of family bonds. It was an experience that pushed me to think about my future. Through life's biggest moments, the highs and the lows, I wanted my family to be there. After all the experiences I had, I was finally ready to return home.
Upon returning to Cleveland, I had a clear vision of what I wanted to do with my life. I witnessed my mother’s hard work, heard her conversations on the phone and learned about the ins and outs of the real estate industry from a young age. She helped people through one of life’s biggest transitions every single day, and I wanted to do the same.
With my mother's guidance and mentorship, along with diligence and lots of hard work, I found success in the business. We worked together as a team, sharing responsibilities and helping each other provide the best service to our clients. After 15 years as a dynamic duo, my mother retired, and I gradually built my own team. As the team leader, I am passionate about helping our agents deliver a great experience that represents the values our family has brought into the industry since the very beginning.
Through my travels, I was able to recognize what matters most to me. Family, friends and community are at the center of my life, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. When not working, I like to stay involved in my community, supporting groups that help people who suffer from addiction, fundraising for local animal shelters, contributing to concert series and other local events.
When I first started my career, I was grateful for my mother’s guidance and expertise. As a veteran in the industry, I recognize that many agents simply never had the mentorship I did. It has become a mission of mine to not only service my clients, but also educate and support the agents on my team to ensure their success. I also felt that furthering my education was extremely important, so I enrolled in a Graduate program and obtained my MBA in 2010. The better my agents are, the better experiences our clients will have! My focus is always on helping people in any way I can and upholding the highest industry standards.
